Thank you Emma. We've been eating lots of mushrooms this Fall. There were hundreds of 'chicken of the woods' and dozens of Boletes on our few acres, and many more that I haven't identified.
I'm jealous you get to forage for mushrooms on your own land! I rely on farmers markets and haven't been foraging myself at all. I hope to at some point.
Be very careful - I found one that’s deadly. It’s fun finding and identifying mushrooms and learning to cook with them. I always take spore prints to help with identification, and leave them alone if I’m not sure. Then, if I am sure they’re ok to eat, I start with a smell test and then a tiny taste, and then a tiny bite, and then wait 24 hours to see if any bad reaction.
I even found a white truffle when I was digging a spot to plant a tree. We find more mushrooms than we can eat fresh, so I dry and preserve them for later use.
Check out your local farmers market if it's not too far away. LocalHarvest.org can help you find one. RealMushrooms.com have some great products. And then if you want to get adventurous and grow your own try FieldForest.net. Good luck!

Thank you, Emma! I will try to source some of the mentioned mushrooms, if possible.
Healthy shopping these days is a challenge!
That being said, is there a beneficial supplement that could be used?
