Hi Linda, it sounds like you’ve been suffering and I’m sorry about that. Yes God is good and God is loving. So let me give a possible explanation for why there is so much suffering in the world. The definition of love is to elevate others more than ourselves. True love must be a choice. If we have the freedom to love, we must also have the freedom to hate. So in giving us a world in which love is possible, God has to allow a world that has all the depravity you mentioned.
While God doesn’t create the evil, He can use it for our good. The character traits God wants to develop in us such as courage, bravery, selflessness and resilience only show up in difficult times. God has a view of the person He wants us to be in eternity rather than the here and now.
We also need to think about why we get so frustrated with suffering and moral depravity? Unless there is a “transcendent divine standard of “straightness” or good morals, then evil is simply a matter of opinion. (see #9)
We can’t judge God (or whether or not He exists) based on the actions of individual fallen humans or natural disasters. Embracing the possibility of God (and doing the real open-minded research on any one of the topics I mentioned) can give you a whole lot of peace you will never find in the nothingness without God.

I hope this helps.
